Moscato is one of the more obscure members of the Muscat family of grapes, found most commonly in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northeastern Italy. It shares the grapey, musky flavor that is characteristic of most Muscat varieties and is used most commonly to make sweet wines in the air-dried passito style.
